Everyone learns differently, and we believe driving lessons should reflect that. Whether you're a complete beginner, feeling nervous, or need a different approach because of ADHD, autism, dyslexia or dyspraxia, we'll take the time to understand what works for you.
Never driven before? That's fine. Everyone has a first lesson. We'll start with the basics in a quiet area and take things step by step, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Nobody is behind you, nobody is waiting, and the car has dual controls. We stay with moving off and stopping until they feel ordinary, and only then move on.
If driving makes you nervous, or a previous experience has affected your confidence, we understand. We can start somewhere quieter, take things slowly and build your confidence step by step. There is no pressure to keep up with anyone else.
If that means three lessons before a main road, that is three lessons. If you need to pull over and stop for a minute, we pull over. There is no commentary on how long you are taking, because there is nothing to compare you to.
With ADHD, having too many instructions at once can sometimes feel overwhelming. We keep things clear and simple — one step at a time, with repetition when needed.
Lessons are structured with clear segments rather than an unbroken hour. Where something has too much happening at once, we break it into pieces and put it back together when each piece is solid.
Together, we'll find the lesson structure and length that works best for you.
Predictability is the thing that helps most, so it is what we build the lessons around.
We aim to provide consistency with your instructor, car and lesson routine wherever possible. A plan for the hour told to you at the start, and as much notice as possible if anything has to change. Routes you already know until you decide you are ready for one you don't.
Tell us what you need: less talking, no radio, a particular time of day, a specific pick-up point, advance warning before a new manoeuvre. None of it is unusual and none of it is a problem.
If reading instructions, remembering directions, left and right, coordination or spatial awareness are difficult, we can change the way we teach.
We can use demonstrations, landmarks, repetition and break manoeuvres into smaller steps. Everything is spoken and shown rather than handed to you on a sheet, and where the show-me-tell-me questions need reading, we work through them aloud until they are yours.
How we adapt
Everyone learns differently. We adapt the lesson to you, not you to the lesson — and these are the concrete differences that makes to an hour in the car.
The enquiry form has a box for anything that would help us teach you well. Use it. Nothing in it goes anywhere except to the instructor, and it means the first lesson is already set up for you.
We aim to keep your instructor, car and routine consistent wherever possible — a familiar voice and familiar controls remove a whole category of things to worry about.
There is no schedule you are falling behind. Some pupils need three lessons on one junction. That is information about the junction, not about you.
If you feel overwhelmed or need a short break, just tell us. We can safely pull over, take a moment and continue when you're ready.
Cost
Specialist lessons are £42 an hour. These lessons are tailored around each learner and how they learn best. This may include shorter instructions, more repetition, extra time to practise and a calmer, more structured approach.
There is no pressure to rush – we work at the learner's pace and focus on building confidence and safe, independent driving.
Full Price ListNo. You don't need a formal diagnosis. If you know that you learn better in a certain way, just tell us. We'll listen and work with you. Nobody is asked for paperwork.
No. Anything you put on the enquiry form goes to the instructor and nowhere else. It is not shared, sold, or used for marketing. How your data is handled.

Lessons are currently in a manual car, and gears are taught the same way as everything else: one step at a time, with as much repetition as you need. Most pupils who worried about the clutch manage it comfortably once it is broken into small steps.
The first lesson is relaxed. We'll have a quick chat, see what experience you already have and find out how you learn best. There is no pressure to get everything right straight away.
That's absolutely fine. Many learners come to us feeling nervous or lacking confidence. We can start slowly, use quieter roads and build things up as your confidence grows.
Take as much time as you need. We can break things into smaller steps, repeat them and practise until you feel comfortable. Everyone learns differently.
Yes. You can start with a single lesson and see how you feel before deciding what you would like to do next.
Yes. Specialist lessons are £42 per hour because they may need more individual planning and a different teaching approach. Standard lessons are £37 per hour.
Yes. As you become ready, we'll work on the skills you need for the test and help you understand what to expect. The aim is not just to pass your test, but to feel confident driving independently afterwards.

The DVSA can make adjustments to the practical test for a range of needs — extra time for the debrief, a different way of giving directions, or someone accompanying you, among others. You tell the DVSA when you book the test. We can talk you through what to ask for.
