At Eddie's, learning to drive is about more than passing your test. It's about learning a life skill that gives you confidence, freedom and independence.

Meet Bejoy
“Nobody starts as a confident driver. Confidence comes with the right teaching, time and practice.”
Hi, I'm Bejoy, the owner and driving instructor at Eddie's.
I still remember learning to drive myself. Mirrors, gears, steering, indicators, other cars — and somehow you're expected to remember all of it at the same time!
And yes, I made mistakes too. Every confident driver you see on the road today was once a learner trying to work out which mirror to look at.
That is something I always remember when someone gets into my car for their first lesson.
You don't need to impress me. You don't need to get everything right. And if you stall the car, don't worry — the car will survive, and so will we!
I'm patient and I genuinely enjoy helping people learn. Everyone learns differently, so I try to understand the person first and then find the best way to teach them.
Whether you're a complete beginner, feeling nervous, coming back to driving after a break, or have ADHD, autism, dyslexia or other learning needs, we'll take it at your pace.
For me, driving is more than passing a test. It gives you freedom, confidence and independence. Like cycling or swimming, it is a skill you can carry with you throughout your life.
I enjoy working with people and helping them achieve something that can make a real difference to their everyday life. For me, seeing a nervous learner gradually become confident behind the wheel is one of the best parts of being an instructor. That is why I started Eddie's — to create a driving school where people feel comfortable learning at their own pace.
My aim is simple: enjoy the learning, build your confidence and become a safe, independent driver.
And hopefully, we'll have a few laughs along the way too.

The goal is a safe, confident, independent driver — not just a test pass. We aim to keep you with the same instructor from first lesson to test wherever possible.

These are the simple standards I believe every learner should be able to expect from Eddie's.
Never rushed to test
We won't rush you towards a test before you're ready. We'll give you honest advice and help you prepare when your driving is safe and confident.
Patient teaching
No shouting, no sarcasm and no judgement — and no comments about your age, your nerves or how long you are taking. Everyone learns at a different pace, and that's absolutely fine.
Clear pricing
What is published here is what you pay. No booking fee, no fuel surcharge, no charge for paperwork.
