Teach with Eddie's

We are taking on driving instructors across Altrincham, Hale, Sale and Wythenshawe. Not many, and not quickly, but the right ones.

An Eddie's School of Driving car on a tree-lined road, an instructor in the passenger seat and a learner at the wheel.

Why we're hiring

More pupils than hours

Eddie's has built its name on a particular kind of teaching: calm, unhurried, and shaped around the person in the passenger seat rather than a fixed syllabus. That reputation now brings in more enquiries than one diary can hold, and a growing share of them are from learners who have been turned away or quietly failed elsewhere.

So we are growing, carefully. Every instructor who joins teaches to the same standards and makes the same promises to pupils. We would rather take a year finding the right person than put the school's name on a lesson we would not want our own family to sit through.

If that sounds like how you already work, we should talk.

What we offer

  • 01Pupils, not cold leads. Enquiries come through the website, the Google listing and word of mouth, already local to you and already expecting the way we teach.
  • 02Your own diary. You set your hours and the area you cover. Nobody fills your evenings for you, and nobody expects you to work Sundays because the diary looked empty.
  • 03Specialist training. If you have not taught neurodivergent or highly anxious learners before, we will show you how we do it. It is the part of the work we are known for and the part that needs the most people.
  • 04Clear terms. Agreed up front, in writing, with no long tie-in and no charge for leaving. If it is not working for you, you should be able to go.
  • 05A name that means something. You teach under Eddie's, to our standards and our promises. That works both ways, and it is why we take our time over who joins.

Who we're looking for

The fit matters more than the CV

You do not need years behind you. You do need to teach the way we do.

01

Qualified ADIs

Green badge, and happy to keep it that way. Manual, automatic or both.

02

PDIs close to qualifying

On a trainee licence or working towards Part 3, with a clear plan to finish.

03

Patience over pace

If you would rather spend an extra ten minutes on a junction than hurry someone towards a test they are not ready for, you will fit here.

04

An interest in specialist work

Experience with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia or anxiety is a real advantage. A genuine willingness to learn it counts almost as much.

05

Local knowledge

Altrincham, Hale, Sale, Wythenshawe, Northenden or Manchester Airport, or close enough to cover one of them properly.
